This step marks a transition toward a regionally integrated operating model, designed to align capabilities, enable effective cross-country collaboration, and accelerate execution of GWE’s growth strategy across Latin America.

VISION 2030 serves as GWE’s long-term roadmap, built on the experience of flagship projects such as ɅLMɅ MɅTER in Panama and TERRɅ INITIɅTIVE in Colombia. In this context, consolidating key functions at the corporate level enables GWE to capture synergies, scale its business model, and respond with greater agility to growth opportunities.

Juan Pablo Crane, Chief Executive Officer of GWE, stated: “Our expansion and globalization reflect a clear ambition: to lead a new generation of energy infrastructure in Latin America. Strong commercial leadership with deep in-market presence, combined with integrated operational execution, enables us to move forward with greater speed, scale, and consistency in delivering our VISION 2030.”

He joined Greenwood Energy in 2023 as Country Manager in Colombia, where he built a regionally integrated team, expanded operations in the country, and led key milestones in TERRɅ INITIɅTIVE, including securing financing under IFC and IDB standards, as well as engaging with the Arhuaco People in dialogue processes with public, private, and non-governmental stakeholders.

As Chief Operating Officer, he will lead operational execution at both global and regional levels, drive expansion into new markets, and further consolidate GWE’s co-development model with communities, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and scalability in the implementation of the Greenwood Model.

Marcos Páez stated: “Our responsibility is to turn challenges into opportunities. What we are building goes beyond energy projects—it is a development model in which business, communities, and the environment move forward together. I take on this role with the commitment to further strengthen, both internally and externally, what makes us unique as a company.”

With these appointments, GWE further strengthens its regional executive structure, aligned with VISION 2030 and positioned to accelerate its growth across Latin America.
