GUIDO PATRIGNANI APPOINTED CHAIRMAN OF GREENWOOD ENERGY’S BOARD AS PART OF VISION 2030

Panama City, Panama | February 3, 2026

Greenwood Energy [GWE] announced the appointment of Guido Patrignani as Chairman of its Board of Directors, effective January 2, 2026. The appointment marks a new phase in the company’s consolidation and regional expansion, in line with VISION 2030, its five-year strategic plan focused on scaling a proprietary energy development model with high social and territorial impact across Latin America, while expanding the company’s regional footprint and diversifying its technology portfolio across Colombia, Panama, and the Dominican Republic.

Greenwood Energy is an international company specialized in the development, structuring, construction, and operation of renewable energy projects across the region. Its differentiated approach integrates clean energy generation with the social, environmental, and economic development of the territories where it operates. Under VISION 2030, the company has elevated its Reimagining Development project series to the core of its mission, supported by concrete and measurable results in areas such as education, environmental conservation, and inclusive development, as well as by a growing regional project pipeline that enables this model to scale.

Within this framework, Greenwood Energy has validated its model in practice through flagship initiatives from its Reimagining Development series, which integrate energy infrastructure with structural, place-based solutions for the communities they serve. Among them are ɅLMɅ MɅTER, developed in partnership with the Universidad de Panamá, a 40 MW solar project that has been operational since 2025 and, through innovative financial and contractual mechanisms, will contribute more than USD 30 million to public education, in addition to scholarships, internships, and laboratory equipment; and TERRɅ INITIɅTIVE, implemented in collaboration with the Arhuaco People in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, whose first phase began construction in late 2025, combining 156 MW of solar capacity with the development of three new Indigenous villages and a dedicated fund for the acquisition and conservation of more than 100,000 hectares of ancestral land. Both projects incorporate technical training, local participation, and the transfer of the solar assets to their respective institutional and community partners, demonstrating that utility-scale renewable energy can be developed while generating long-term social, environmental, and economic value.

Commenting on this milestone, Guido Patrignani stated: “Throughout its evolution, Greenwood Energy has chosen to develop energy projects from a broader and deeply human perspective, integrating clean energy generation with tangible social and environmental impact. Initiatives such as ɅLMɅ MɅTER and TERRɅ INITIɅTIVE show that this approach is not only viable and replicable, but also capable of creating lasting value when built in close collaboration with territories and their communities.”

Patrignani’s appointment reflects a natural evolution of the company’s leadership, grounded in his long-standing trajectory within the organization, his deep understanding of its business model, and the results achieved across multiple stages of growth. The transition strengthens strategic continuity at a time of regional expansion and technological diversification, including the incorporation of wind energy into Greenwood Energy’s portfolio, in line with VISION 2030 and the company’s commitment to a just energy transition in Latin America.

Guido Patrignani is an architect, graduated from Universidad de Belgrano [Argentina], with more than 17 years of experience in the Latin American energy sector. His career combines strategic vision, regional leadership, and on-the-ground execution. For more than a decade, he contributed to the modernization of hydrocarbon extraction and transportation infrastructure in Argentina and Brazil as the exclusive regional representative of PPG Industries Fiber Glass [NYSE: PPG]. He later served as the exclusive representative of UGE International [TSX-V: UGE] in Argentina, where he redirected his focus toward renewable energy, leading the development of more than 500 MW of projects across Argentina, Colombia, Panama, and the Dominican Republic.

Prior to joining Greenwood Energy, Patrignani served as Chief Operating Officer of 2C Power in Colombia. He later joined Greenwood Energy in its early stages as Country Head for Colombia, leading the establishment of the company’s operations in the country, and subsequently headed its first phase of global expansion as CEO. In that role, he drove the creation of the Reimagining Development project series, which is now a central pillar of the corporate strategy. In 2025, after completing his tenure as CEO, he transitioned to a governance role as a member of the Board of Directors of Greenwood Energy.

As Chairman of the Board of Directors, Patrignani will be responsible for defining and safeguarding the corporate strategy, overseeing the execution of VISION 2030, strengthening governance, and supporting key strategic decisions and investments. His role will be to ensure sustainable, responsible growth aligned with Greenwood Energy’s long-term values, while acting as a strategic bridge between the Board and the executive team.

Regarding his new role, Patrignani added: “As Chairman of the Board, the focus will be on ensuring that VISION 2030 translates into consistent strategic decisions aligned with our values. This includes supporting a thoughtful and orderly regional expansion, incorporating new technologies—including wind energy—and scaling a renewable energy pipeline of nearly 2,000 MW. By maximizing the distinctive strengths that define Greenwood Energy’s model, we aim to advance a just energy transition with clear and measurable territorial impact. We believe value can be generated responsibly, improving people’s lives while protecting ecosystems, in harmony with the territories we serve.”

With this appointment, Greenwood Energy strengthens its leadership structure and reinforces an institutional framework aligned with its identity, ensuring the continuity and scalability of a model that integrates energy innovation, territorial development, and shared value creation across the region.
